Superhero

I'll be out of town for the week, but before I go, I wanted to post this song I just did. I call it Superhero. (Sorry, not Sci-fi, Western, or comedy yet...) I haven't decided if it will be trailer music, or if it will be a theme for a book series.
Here it is:

Superhero by Jon M.

Hope you like it, and please let me know what you think. I tried to go for a more modern feel... almost like TRON, but not as electronic.

Thanks for listening,

Jonathan Maiocco

  1. This is great! I really love the feel to the piece. In my opinion, superhero-ish music has a bit more bass, but I think what you've got here is great :D thanks for sharing!!

    Squeaks.

  3. Wow. I'm stunned.

I could definitely hear the Tron feel coming through, that was wonderful. But it was brought back to a more natural sound with all the violins. That gave it a great unique feel. Great, victorious sound. I love it!

  4. Ooh And you've FINALLY stretched the length XD Hehe 3 minutes is way easier to listen to, I don't have to hit repeat as often (:

The song..enjoyable. I was a bit crestfallen when it ended without giving me a "bang". If I'd improve anything, it would be less repeating throughout, repeat up to a point them..BANG!

  5. It made me think of The Dark Knight and Treasure Planet. Sweet job, Jon! And yeah, I was thinking TRON the whole time too, haha.

I would have ended it with either a little more bang and abrupt like you had it, or drift it off a little more, though. It sounded cut off. :P

  6. That's really cool! It sort of reminds me of Tron: Legacy and Transformers. I love the way it builds throughout the first part and then, I don't know how to put it into words, but it sort of opens up and I think that's really neat.

  8. This is well done, I liked the latter half a lot. It could really use a better title though, haha.
And btw, its officially 2 years since summit- your pieces have improved so much since then! Glad we're still friends.

  9. Something about the opening of this piece makes me want to smile, maybe it's the rhythm...I am not sure but it has this feeling to it that I can't describe and then you go into that full blown depth that just about takes my breath away...I am not sure what I am seeing in the music but it' breathtaking.

Thank you for sharing your gift!

  10. Wow. Man. Wow.

I don't know how to convey this amazement I am feeling toward your music. I listened to all the music I hadn't heard before (starting from the Celtic piece)and WOW. Wow wow.

The Arabian ones I especially like. Ok, love is more the word. I don't think I have one negative thing to say about any of them. Dude. You are really talented and I wouldn't be surprised if one day you start composing for movies.

You should make a CD of all your music, and put it on iTunes or some place like that. I know I would buy it. (I'll say it again) You have a gift, and don't ever loose it. Keep making music and keep glorifying God with your gift!

    God bless you, dude!!!
