A Christmas Epic.

Wait, it's December? Wow...
Here's a song I did about a year ago. I call it A Christmas Epic, inspired by O Come, O Come, Emmanuel and Carol of the Bells with a Trans-Siberian Orchestra twist.

A Christmas Epic by Jon M. 2011

What do you think? I'm considering doing another one... can't decide.

Thanks for listening,

Jonathan Maiocco

P.S. Here is the best thing ever: (this is SO much better than my song. Hands down).

And here is probably the second best thing ever: Sleigh Rough.

  1. I love the Christmas Epic! I was grinning crazily by the end. I really like both the songs you used and the Trans Siberian Orchestra is a little odd sometimes, but you have to admit they have flair.

It conjured up a lot of images. I need to write them down and see if I could come up with a scene for this piece. It certainly deserves a scene. Being so gorgeous and moving.

  2. I really like what you did with this!

I've always wanted to mess around with composing, but never had the patience, or was easily burned out. Out of curiosity, how do you record this? Is it some sort of program? Or do you actually have opportunity to do a whole orchestra? This might be a real stupid question, but I'm just real curious about the whole thing :)

  3. I love your Christmas Epic too! I'm not really a fan of Christmas music (well, traditional music), but you did an excellent job with this. It truly is Epic.

  4. Your Christmas Epic ROCKED MY WORLD. Those two songs you took it from are probably in my top five favorite Christmas songs-- so of course I loved it. And plus, it was just..... argh..... amazing....... :]

Gosh, you never fail to make my day........

And the other two weren't HALF as good as yours.... thanks very much :)

(you need to get your stuff on iTunes.... because my whole family wants to buy it!!!!)

  5. Goosebumps at 2:02 This is amazing!

  6. You should DEFINETLY do another!!!!! Christmas music is the BEST!!!

  7. No offense or anything but its too weak, the ending is good but when the violin or whatever it is comes in at 52 it needs more punch...juts an opinion, you did a good job tho

  8. Wow! I loved the inclusion of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" in the piece, it fit so well! (plus, I've never heard a TSO piece with that song in it, so it was original) Yes, it was very TSO-like, and I loved it!

  9. Ha! I love this piece of yours! They are two of my absolute favorite Christmas songs and I could listen to it over and over again, this piece of must is how I met your blog. :)

The other two songs are really good but, I love the feel your's carries with it.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful world of music with us!!!!
