And the Winner Is...

I'll cut to the chase. The winner is Katherine Sophia! Congrats! Thanks to everyone who entered! Katherine, email me at: jon@jonathanmaiocco.com. (The plan is to have more giveaways in the future, so keep checking back.)
I'm going to be lame (again) and post a work in progress... remember that sci-fi song I kept on saying I would post? Well, here is what I had come up with ages ago, but never could finish. It's uber rough. But... what do you think?

Can't believe it's March! Working on a lot of epic trailer music for the album coming up. Hoping to post some soon.

Thanks for listening,

Jonathan Maiocco

P.S. Trip went really well, thank you for your prayers! I'll need to talk about it next post.

  1. Congrats to Katherine! And your Sci-Fi WIP sounds..... immersive. And chilling. (Slightly E.T.-esque near the end, or is that just me??) And OOOH! LOVE the harp at the end. It adds a very "human" touch to the atmosphere. But still creepy, in a good way ;)
Can't wait to hear the finished thing :) It almost sounds like it would fit a scene from Ender's Game, if you've read that book.....

A whole year after the poll, and we finally get a sci-fi piece :).
I sent you some great inspirational emails for this piece in.. July? And it's.. March? Sigh. At least you've finally posted it! :D

  4. Can I just say I LOVE this piece just as it is? I love the orchestration, the horns, the haunting and hovering sensation, the entrance of the piano, when I close my eyes I see stars flying past, it really is surreal and takes you to a whole new place entirely, I don't want to do anything else but just listen to it over and over and over again, then the soft harp ending leaves us holding our breath and begging for more? Please? Please with sprinkles of stardust on top.

Thank you for sharing your passion Jon, it's truly beautiful!
